Volunteers have the opportunity to get involved in their community, meet new friends, earn volunteer hours, add valuable experience to their resume, and be apart of an exciting and grassroots team. There are many opportunities to get involved, please complete the registration form and our Volunteer Coordinator will be in contact!
We are always looking for volunteers for all areas within our organization but we are currently recruiting for the following roles:
Champ’s Playground- education booth executed at various events, educating the community about our work and waste sorting, engaging children, recruiting volunteers
Canada Day Volunteers- monitor waste stations, assist with set up and take down, waste audit, among other opportunities
Waste Station Monitor
Volunteers engage the community and provide assistance with sorting waste in proper receptacles. Volunteers can enjoy the day at exciting events throughout Brantford and Brant County; soaking up some vitamin D, getting fresh air, making connections, and learning more about the community.
No experience is required, all PPE and training is provided!
Planning Committee
Green Team Planning Committee meets monthly on the second Thursday of the month to discuss logistics around supporting various events. Opportunities include:
Event coordination
Marketing
Volunteer recruitment
Student liaison
Science communication and education
No experience is required, we welcome all community members whether they have skills to contribute or their looking to build their skills in any of these areas!
